Payments
As a general rule, payment is due at the time of service. We make every effort possible to be transparent about the cost of treatment prior to your appointment. If there is ever an outstanding balance on your account, it is possible to make a payment via an email link online, over the phone, or in the office.
We accept all major credit cards, cash and check. We have also partnered with CareCredit to provide financing options for those patients wanting to spread out payments for a longer period.
Insurance
Kirkwood Family Dental is out of network with most dental insurance companies. This does not mean that we do not accept insurance, and many policies offer out-of-network benefits, so you can still use your benefits at our office. Our team members will file all claims and necessary paperwork so there is no additional hassle for our patients.
Insurance companies put strict limits on how often patients can be seen, what types of treatments they will cover, and the amount of work that can be completed each year. By being out of network, our dentists are able to provide more ideal and long-lasting treatment options. At the end of the day, it is the insurance company’s job to make money for their shareholders. But it is our dentists’ job to care for our patients.
Memberships
We are excited to offer a membership plan for those patients who want to make a dental home at Kirkwood Family Dental. This membership plan provides two exams, two cleanings, and a set of digital radiographs each year with one yearly enrollment fee. Members also receive a 10% discount on any dental treatments completed within that year. We have found that for many of our patients, this membership plan is more cost-effective than purchasing private insurance. It provides accessibility to great dental care without deductibles, yearly maximums, waiting periods, pre-authorizations, or surprise fees.
Kirkwood Family Dental is a privately owned practice and is not associated with a dental corporation or service organization. Therefore, our dentists are free to choose the materials, specialists, and treatment plans that are best for our patients. We are not beholden to outside investors or shareholders with financial interests.
