Veneers

Our porcelain veneers create smiles that turn heads but in the best possible way. If your teeth are on the smaller side, a bit uneven, chipped, or carrying deep stains that won’t budge with just bleaching, porcelain veneers could be your opportunity to a beautifully enhanced yet totally natural-looking smile.

What to Expect with Veneers

Restoring your smile and addressing cosmetic concerns can both be accomplished with porcelain veneers. These are thin, natural-looking facings that can cover common imperfections such as chips, discoloration, or asymmetric tooth size and position. If it is determined that you are a good candidate for veneers, we begin by conservatively prepping the teeth in order to make room for the porcelain material. Veneers can be minimally invasive and we ALWAYS strive to prep the least amount of tooth structure to achieve a natural looking end result. Then, a digital scan is taken to create a computerized 3D model of the teeth. We work with world-class dental laboratories where a talented ceramist creates the veneers based on the prescription from the dentist, matching the aesthetics of the rest of the smile so that the veneers are entirely natural looking when bonded into place. The veneers are then cemented onto the teeth, and patients are able to appreciate their new smile for years to come.

Plus, they require no extra upkeep—just brush, floss, and visit your dentist regularly, and your perfect smile will stay looking fresh. In some instances, we recommend wearing a night guard to provide some extra protection!

Porcelain Veneers: FAQs

  • Porcelain veneers are ultra-thin, custom-made ceramic/porcelain facings that cover the front surface of your teeth to improve their appearance. They’re designed to fix issues like discoloration, chips, small gaps, or uneven teeth while maintaining a natural look.

  • With proper care, porcelain veneers can last 10–15 years or even longer! Good oral hygiene, regular dental checkups, and avoiding habits like nail-biting or chewing ice will help extend their lifespan. We often recommend a night guard to help protect the teeth and veneers from night time clenching and grinding

  • Absolutely! High-quality veneers are crafted to mimic the translucency and shine of natural teeth, blending seamlessly with your smile. This is why we work with world class dental laboratories that specialize in cosmetic dentistry to provide our patients amazing results. No one will know you have them—just that your smile looks amazing!

  • Yes, veneers are considered a permanent treatment since a small amount of enamel is removed to ensure a proper fit and they are bonded with a very strong resin cement. Once the teeth are prepped, they can’t be reversed, but they can be replaced if needed.

  • Porcelain veneers are more stain-resistant than natural teeth, meaning coffee, wine, and other staining foods won’t affect them as easily. However, it’s still a good idea to maintain good oral hygiene to keep your smile looking its best. We often find that the natural teeth stain faster than veneers.

  • The process of getting veneers is very similar to a crown or filling. We numb our patients to ensure it’s a painless and comfortable appointment. In some cases, there maybe slight soreness or sensitivity the next day and we typically recommend over-the-counter pain medication for it.
Typically veneers take about 3 to 4 appointments with 2 of those appointments being longer and being numb. The initial appointment involves a consult and collecting in-depth records like photos, x-rays and dental moulds. We create your new smile in wax which helps create a blue print of your final smile! The second appointment is where we prep the teeth. At the consultation appointment we review the entire smile makeover process in detail!

  • Yes! While many people choose veneers for a full smile transformation, you can absolutely get a single veneer to fix one tooth and blend it with the rest of your smile.

  • The cost varies depending on factors like location, the number of veneers needed, and the dentist’s expertise as well as the quality of laboratory used. We choose to work with some of the best cosmetic dental laboratories in the country to ensure our patients get the highest quality results. Typically veneers cost $2500 to $2800 per tooth. Your dentist can provide a detailed estimate based on your specific needs.

  • Since veneers are typically considered a cosmetic procedure, most insurance plans don’t cover them. However, it’s always a good idea to check with your provider to see if any portion might be covered. We offer our patient our in-office membership plan which gives them a discount off our services with no annual limitations!

  • Yes! Veneers are strong and function just like natural teeth. However, it's best to avoid biting into extremely hard foods (like ice or hard candy) or biting directly into an apple to prevent damage. We typically recommend a night guard to add a layer of protection against night time clenching or grinding to prolong the life of the veneers.
